Quescrem in TOP 50 according to Alimarket
Alimarket, Spain’s renowned professional publication on sectoral economy, has just published its 2018 report on the Spanish cheese market, offering an updated panorama of the self-service commercial sector, which has been growing in the last few years. This report also includes a ranking of the most important Spanish cheese manufacturers and importers, and publishes an interview with our General Manager, Carlos López.
In said ranking, Quescrem is not only among the top 50 cheese companies of Spain, but is also the first Galician company to enter Alimarket’s ranking. The report also highlights our recently launched Quescrem Smart Food range as one the most important innovations of 2018, as it answers one of the most recent trends in the cheese sector, according to Alimarket: products with high protein content.
This recognition is even more meaningful if we consider that the Spanish cheese market is strongly controlled by private label brands (they make up for 61% of the market), so introducing new products from a manufacturer brand is not an easy task. We are very pleased with this good news, aware that they are the result of a permanent commitment to innovation and the determined effort to offer products that meet the needs of the end consumer and can adapt to their lifestyles while being practical, healthy and flavoursome. Of course, without losing sight of our commitment to making products with locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality that we sell in more than 40 countries around the world.
