Quescrem receives a Galicia Alimentación 2018 award for its market strategy and internationalization

We are pleased to announce that the judges of the 4th edition of the Galicia Alimentación 2018 Awards, organized by Clusaga  (Galician Food Cluster), have awarded our market strategy and internationalization, as we contribute to the promotion of the quality and image of Galician products abroad.

The award ceremony will take place on the 14th of June at Santiago de Compostela’s Culture City, where we’ll be with the other two award-winners:  Café Candelas, which has received the award to the best business project 2018 for the uniqueness of its business model; and Conservas Portomar, which has received the award to the best innovative product for its preserved abalones. The judges have taken into account the knowledge transfer, commitment to innovation and international projection of all the award-winners, chosen from a list of 56 candidates.

Clusaga highlights our role as ambassadors of Galicia, together with our export performance. These words mean a lot to us. Twelve years after our launch we have reached over 40 countries throughout the world and 40% of our sales are made abroad. Behind these figures there is an extraordinary team that makes it possible, innovative and committed people that work hard in all our departments; they are the real winners of this award.

For us, innovation and internationalization have always gone hand in hand. As a result of this symbiotic relationship, we have been able to grow by an average of 20% every year. In 2017, we had a turnover of over € 11 million, which means we grew by 25% that year, generating over 60 jobs.

This award comes just after a very busy few months, as we have been to the most important international food fairs, such as Foodex Japan, Alimentaria Barcelona and Bakery  China, and we have launched our new Smart Food range, a series of products designed for our current lifestyle.

The support of our industry colleagues and of our region fills us with energy to keep on working and promoting Galicia all over the world. To them and to our team we want to extend our immense gratitude. And of course, to all the other award-winners, congratulations!
