Innovation in our DNA
Quescrem’s R&D&I team is made up of seven highly qualified professionals; four PhDs in Chemistry, Biology and Food Technology, one graduate and two senior technicians in scientific-technical areas. They work in all phases of new product development, from initial ideation to industrialization.
They also develop new technologies and processes that make it possible to develop new products and provide an innovative and quality service to customers all over the world.
The R&D team is key to our growth. Nearly 7% of our professionals are part of this department, and each year we reinvest part of our profits in research and development to continue driving innovation.

More than 50 new products have been developed in our R&D&I laboratory. All of them are developed based on the needs that each customer requires or are detected in the market. They are customized on these needs:

An in-house plant to test everything
From our pilot plant we develop prototypes, optimize processes and elaborate new products, for which we handle an important quantity of ingredients and spices with which we test the developments. In our laboratory, we characterize these products physicochemically and microbiologically to ensure that the initial requirements are met.
