Livestock farmers are major players in the production of our products . dairy products. For them to maintain the quality standards we seek, it is essential that they receive fair remuneration for their work. This promotes sustainability and long-term stability throughout the value chain.
The value generated in the production and sale of our products is to shared with all participants in the chain, including farmers. This philosophy allows us to maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and ensure that everyone involved in the process benefits adequately.

Sustainability is our DNA
We are making progress in the transition to a circular circular economy and the use of renewable energies.. We promote a sustainable use of resources and implement actions to reduce and optimize the consumption of water, fuel and electricity.
In 2023, we are investing more than 1.5 million euros to optimize purification processes and return water of higher quality to the environment.

As part of Quescrem’s commitment to sustainability, we decided to start up the first biogas plant in the peninsula based on permeate and working exclusively with dairy products, thus becoming the pioneer in Spain and also the pioneer in Europe.
This plant transforms cheese production waste into energy, which is used to supply electricity to our factory. It has the capacity to generate 856 MWh of electrical energy per year (energy to supply more than 240 homes) and treat 13,000 tons of waste. In this way, we enhance the circularity of the processes and approach zero waste.

100% of the electrical energy we purchase is guaranteed to be of renewable origin, thus avoiding the emission of 386 t of CO2 and contributing to mitigating climate change.
In addition, we have photovoltaic panels for the self-generation of self-generation of electric energywith a total installed power of 180 kWp.
